To our Community,

To do our part in helping to stop the spread of COVID-19, all City of Santa Clara libraries have been closed at this time. Our staff is continuing to work to provide you with services and information. We would like to take a moment to answer some frequently asked questions:

How long will the library be closed?

Per the Shelter in Place Order, our libraries will be closed until further notice. This date may be reassessed and we will be updating our community as we have more information. As of June 15th, we are offering a Curbside Pickup Program

Since the library is closed, what should I do about my books?

Returns will be accepted through the Central Park Library’s Bookdrop beginning Monday, June 15 during Curbside Pickup Hours. Don't worry about late charges, due dates have been extended and no fines will be charged during the closure.

What if my items are due during this time?

All checked out items will have automatic renewal and have had their due dates extended past the current closure date. If your item is still due during the closure dates, you can continue to keep the item and no late fees will be added to your account when we reopen. Returns will be accepted through the Central Park Library’s Bookdrop beginning Monday, June 15 during Curbside Pickup Hours.

What if I have an item like a chromebook, hotspot, a Browsing Item or a LINK+ item?

We have extended the due dates for these items as well and you can keep these items until we reopen with no penalties. Returns will be accepted through the Central Park Library’s Bookdrop beginning Monday, June 15 during Curbside Pickup Hours.

What about library fines during this time?

No late fees will be added to your account during this time.
