Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Free Monthly Book for Children 0-5
The Santa Clara City Library joins the Santa Clara County Library District in bringing Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to our community. Families with children ages 0–5 can now sign up to receive a free, high-quality book every month, until the child’s fifth birthday, that will be mailed right to their homes. Books are available in English or bilingual English-Spanish to encourage growth of little one’s love of reading with every delivery. |

1,000 Books for Kindergarten is a free program that encourages you to read 1,000 books with your child before they begin Kindergarten. It's easy, fun, and a great way to bond and learn with your young child. Although 1,000 sounds like a lot - just one book a day adds up fast! |

Recommended Booklists are curated by our very own Youth Services Staff. You can find staff-favorite books for babies, toddlers, preschoolers and kindergarteners, as well as lists curated by topic, such as ABCs, farm animals, things that go, etc. |

Dial-a-Story (Grades K-3) lets you listen to a story anytime, anywhere! Stories change every Monday. Call 408-615-2909 to listen to a story in English or Spanish. You can also stream the stories online on our Dial-a-Story page. |

Early Literacy Kits are activity boxes designed to help prepare your child for school by learning about essential concepts. These librarian-crafted kits are suitable for children aged 3-5 and can be used during a visit to the library. Use the ideas from these boxes to get you started both in the library and at home. |

Come to any of our library branches for a fun and interactive storytime. Library staff will share stories, songs, rhymes, fingerplays, and movement! Grown-ups can also learn some tips for engaging kids in early literacy. Some events include a stay and play session following storytime. Online Books and Audiobooks
The Library offers access to electronic resources 24/7.These eBooks are recommended for ages 3 & up, and may require a Library card number and PIN number. You can apply for a Library card online and pick it up at any Santa Clara City Library branch or bookmobile.
