Santa Clara City Library is partnering with Santa Clara Unified School District to give every student a free Student Library Card with access to books, digital resources, homework help, and more. This partnership helps every student succeed in school by providing free, easy access to learning and reading resources.
How do I use my Student Library Card?
All Santa Clara Unified School District students will receive a Student Library Card starting at the beginning for school year 2026, unless they elect to opt-out through the school. This card will use the same student ID that the school assigns to each student. Physical cards will not be distributed to students. Library staff will be able to look up and access student library card accounts with school identification.
- Your library card: 25129000 + Student ID#
- PIN: your birth year

What do I have access to?
Students can use their cards at any of our to access ALL our online library resources. You don’t need the physical card – just the library card number and PIN.

Would you like to search for a book in the Library Catalog?
First-time users will need to create a BiblioCommons Library Catalog account.
For children under 13, visit our library’s online catalog, select “Log In / Register,” and enter the child’s student library card number and PIN. The catalog automatically recognizes the child’s age and will provide a safe, pre-selected username made from a color-and-animal combination.
Users ages 13 and older will follow the prompts to register and they will be able create their own custom username
