Central Park Library has started our contactless Curbside Pickup service. Stay safe and get your Library materials in a socially distant fashion, with grab-and-go service - just follow the instructions below!

*All Library materials will be quarantined for at least 72 hours. This may delay hold requests to ensure the items are safe for check out.

Curbside Pickup Hours:

*Curbside Pickup will be closed July 3 & 4 in observance of Independence Day.

Monday: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. 
Tuesday: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. 
Wednesday: 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. 
Thursday: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. 
Friday: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. 
Saturday: 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. 

If you are having issues with placing a hold in our library catalog, please visit our Classic Catalog or click into the item record to complete the hold. 

A tutorial is available on the Library's YouTube channel for placing a holding using our catalog systems.

Please note that our library has a 10 item hold limit!

Curbside Pickup Process:

  1. Place a hold (max 10 items per card) through the Library Catalog.
  2. You will receive a notification when your item is Ready for Pickup
  3. When you arrive at the Library, park your vehicle in the designated pickup area and call 408-615-2993. Library staff will be outside to assist you. 
  4. Happy reading!

Curbside Walk-Up Process:

  1. Place a hold (max 10 items per card) through the Library Catalog.
  2. You will receive a notification when your item is Ready for Pickup
  3. When you arrive at the Library, park your vehicle on the East side of the Library and walk to the front of the library. Please follow the signs and arrows to the designated location for pick-up. Our staff will be available to help you with your pickup. We ask that you have your library card number ready to help staff assist you in this process.

Returns are now being accepted through the Central Park Library’s Bookdrop during Curbside Pickup Hours. Don't worry about late charges. Return materials when you can. Check your account to renew items or give us a call at 408-615-2970 for staff assistance. 

*All Library returns will be quarantined for at least 72 hours. Your items will not be checked in right away. Please wait at least 72 hours to verify that your items have been removed from your account. 

Library Closure:

*All Santa Clara City Libraries remain closed to the public.The Libraries have undergone deep cleaning but will not reopen until determined to be safe.The City is taking a deliberate and measured approach to  expanding curbside pickup at the Mission Branch Library, Northside Branch Library, and the Bookmobile in order to follow all safety protocols and ensure that sufficient resources are available.    

Our staff and patron safety is the highest priority. We know patrons are eager to get back to the library and look forward to getting back to full service when it is safe.Until then, we have increased our digital collections of eBooks, downloadable audio, and streaming movies.
