All public computers come with Internet access, printing capabilities, and the following software programs:

• Microsoft Office Software
• Internet Browsers
• Acrobat Reader
• VLC Media Player

Each public computer also features the following hardware specifications:

• CD-R/DVD-R player
• 4 USB ports
• 3.5mm headphone jack

We have three ADA accessible computer stations at Central Park Library.  

A Santa Clara City Library card is required to access the public computers. If you don't currently have a library card, you may register for one before your visit.

At the Santa Clara City Library, you can use our free wireless connection from your own phone or laptop without a library card. To connect to the Library's free Wi-Fi, follow these steps:

1. Select CSC-Public from the list of networks in your device's Wi-Fi settings
2. Select "Continue to login page" if the agreement page does not open automatically
3. Read and agree to the terms and conditions

The Library has printing and copying capabilities in both black-and-white and color for a small fee. (Cash and credit card payments accepted.)

Printing & Copying Costs

Scanning services are available free of charge. Scanned documents can be sent to an email address, USB flash drive, or smartphone.

There is no dedicated fax machine at any of our locations, but e-faxing services are available online via the Library's public computers. You may scan your documents in order to use the Library's public computers to fax them.

Using Print From Anywhere, anyone with an Internet connection can send documents to the Library's print job queue and retrieve their copies from a printing station at any Santa Clara City Library location.

Note: A Santa Clara City Library card is not required.

To print from anywhere outside the Library

1. Visit the Print From Anywhere page 
2. Save your document(s) before printing. Click on the Select File button to select your document(s).
3. Select your printing preferences.
4. Name your print job under “User Information.” The name must be 5+ characters.
5. Optionally, enter your email and/or phone number to receive confirmation messages.
6. When you see the words, “Job Submission Successful!" your print is ready to be picked up. Go to the print station. Follow the directions for picking up your print job and input the name used in step #4.

Reminder: Print jobs are only held for 24 hours.

To pick up your print job

1. Visit a print station at any Santa Clara City Library.
2. Go to the print station kiosk and enter the Name of your print job.
3. Select the document(s) you wish to print.
4. Ensure you have enough funds for your print job (cash and credit card payments accepted).
5. Select Print.
6. Retrieve your documents from the printer.
