At the Santa Clara City Library, you can use our free wireless connection from your own phone or laptop without a library card.

How to Connect

To connect to the Library's free Wi-Fi, follow these steps:

  1. Select CSC-Public from the list of networks in your device's Wi-Fi settings
  2. Select "Continue to login page" if the agreement page does not open automatically
  3. Read and agree to the terms and conditions

Devices

Bring your own laptop or wireless-enabled device. The Library has a limited amount of Chromebooks for a 3-week checkout period. Learn more about checking out a Chromebook or Mobile Hotspot. Remember to bring a fully charged device as public electric outlets may not be available for use. 

Limitations and Disclaimers

  • The Library's wireless network is not secure. Information sent to or from your laptop can be captured by anyone else with a wireless device and the appropriate software.

  • Library staff is able to provide some technical assistance as staffing permits, but there is no guarantee that you will be able to make a wireless connection.

  • The Library assumes no responsibility for the safety of equipment or for laptop configurations, security, or data files resulting from connection to the Library's network.
